Local Attractions & Activities
Many attractions await you in this part of Wales. Here are
just a few to whet your appetite:

Just a few miles away you can enjoy the small coastal towns
of Cardigan Bay. The coastline has many sheltered coves, sandy
beaches, and small fishing villages. You may even see seals
and dolphins. Boat trips are available in a number of locations
along the Ceredigion coast.

For something larger there is good shopping in Carmarthen or
Aberystwyth, but don't just stick to shopping. In Aberystwyth
you can take a walk around the castle, go up the cliff railway
and take in the ocean views, or a trip on the Vale of Rheidol
railway to the spectacular Devil's Bridge.
You could even take a day trip to Ireland. Fishguard is only
55 miles away, where you can catch the ferry to Rosslare (summer
months only).
Why not visit the Red Kite Centre at Tregaron, or put on
your walking boots and do one of the many coastal or inland
walks. If cycling is your thing we are on one of the many cycle
routes.
For a more sedate break there are Craft Centres, the Welsh
Honey Farm, Rachel's Organics, wine made from grapes grown at
Ffynnon Las Vineyard, potteries, steam railways, and woollen
mills. There are just so many things to see and do in mid Wales
you will want to keep coming back.
